Iomega's mini USB drive for mobile users
NEW DELHI -- Iomega Corp. has recently announced its
most compact drive to date, the Iomega mini USB drive.
It is suitable for mobile users in business, home
and educational settings.
With
its small form factor, intuitive software, and security
feature, the mini USB Drive delivers one of the most
mobile, easy-to-use and secure way to transport and
share digital data, especially while on the road.
Powered by Iomega's Active DiskT technology, it allows
selected software applications to conveniently launch
and run directly from the drive.
The
mini USB Drive provides key-sized solid-state storage
and complete freedom from cables, adapters, power
supplies or batteries required by other solutions.
To use the drive, the user just needs to uncap it
and attach to an available USB or hi-speed USB (USB
2.0) port.
Stylishly
designed and as small as a car key, it weighs 20g.
The unit comes in two capacities -- 64MB and 128MB.
The Iomega Mini Lock password protects some or all
of the drive; the Mini Control Panel allows for convenient
viewing and management of data.
"In
this time and age, both data security and ease-of-use
are two features that are very important and unfortunately,
sometimes left out. All of Iomega's storage solutions
include these features and our latest drive is no
different," said Richard Lim, regional director,
Iomega Pacific. "Also, with the new mini USB
drive, Iomega now offers storage solutions in a variety
of sizes, catered to meet every user's need, and in
this case, for the person who needs and appreciates
mobility." Ingram Micro India, Neoteric Informatique
and Tech Pacific India are its authorised distributors
in India.
