Aksh Broadband unveils end-to-end solutions

Aksh Broadband, a fully owned subsidiary of Aksh Optifibre Limited, has recently unveiled its complete end-to-end solutions for Internet and Cable TV networks. A company press release said that the new solutions will enable Cable TV (CaTV) operators to provide analogue TV channels over a bandwidth extending 862 MHz with outstanding signal quality and to offer streaming non-dial up Internet service with uploading and downloading speeds of upto 10 Mbps. The same network will also be capable of providing future applications, like video conferencing, video-on-demand, telephony and fax, home security, smart house application and online video gaming.

The company claims that the features of its CaTV and Internet solutions include:

  • All optical network upto a cluster of 20 houses;
  • Signals carried 60 to 100 km on OFC without amplification;
  • Proof cable used for delivery through aerial installation;
  • Passive optics for low maintenance of the CaTV network.

Aksh also aims to bring FTTH, a new access technology utilising an optical network architecture optimised for delivery of telephony (voice), high-speed Internet access (data), CaTV and video-on-demand (video) to the homes through fibre optic cables in India.
