NEW
DELHI -- Carrying forward its association with the Athens
2004 Olympics, Samsung India Electronics Ltd., recently
launched three 'Olympic Series' mobile phones, the SGH
D410, SGH E800 and SGH E810, respectively. These are
high-end slide phones packed with a host of features.
These
innovatively designed slide-up phones allow users to
slide open the outside display smoothly with a gentle
push. The D410 is Samsung's first slide phone. The E800
is said to be the first phone in the world to incorporate
technology to cancel ambient noise. The E810 has a 180-degree
rotating camera with video and flash that makes it easy
to snap sporting action from any angle.
The
D410 features a two-inch wide screen, 262K color TFT
LCD, built-in VGA camera and high-resolution screen.
This slide-type design phone responds instantly to the
softest touch. The D410 incorporates an e-mail client
enabling users to send and receive emails. It has an
email storage capacity of 1MB and offers a choice of
64-chord polyphonic melodies.
The
E800, with a built-in high resolution VGA camera with
flash, allows users to shoot clear images. It has a
65K color high resolution TFT LCD and a VGA camera with
flash. Users can shoot clear images even when in motion,
especially sporting events. The photo CLIP feature in
the E800 enables users to know who is calling as the
phone displays the caller's picture as well as the name.
It also offers an integrated speakerphone with echo
cancellation technology, that allows one to speak freely
while on the move. This is said to be the first phone
in the world that incorporates technology enabling both
noise cancellation and voice clarity.
The
compact and stylishly designed E810 comes with a 128x160-pixel
TFT LCD and supports 30-second video clips in the MJpeg
format. It has a 180-degree rotating VGA/CMOS camera
with video and flash. It supports MMS and comes with
an internal antenna. The gleaming metal finished surface
adds to its appeal.
The
D410 will be available at all Samsung mobile privileged
partners, Samsung DigitAll Home outlets and leading
telecom/electronic retail stores. The other two models
would be available shortly as the Olympic games progresses.
