Intel's TravelMate3000 offers extended performance
BANGALORE -- Acer recently launched the TravelMate 3000 series based on Intel's Centrino Mobile Technology platform. The TravelMate 3000 uses an Intel PentiumM processor, the Intel 915GM Express chipset and the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG network solution for excellent performance. The lightest model in the entire Acer portfolio, weighing only 1.55kgs, the TravelMate 3000 is compact and easy to carry, designed for frequent travelers. The 12.1-inch wide display screen increases productivity by reducing the need for horizontal scrolling. TravelMate 3000 comes with Acer CrystalBrite technology that makes all images come alive in spectacular cinematic colour, enhancing the quality of the LCD display through special reflectors that increase brightness and clarity.
First in the industry, the TravelMate 3000 comes with two standard battery packs, providing extended performance for users on the move. The light three-cell primary battery allows true mobility, while a six-cell secondary battery ensures mobility during extended travel. The Acer ePowerManagement allows you to choose the power management setting to extend battery time. Additionally, the latest proprietary Acer SignalUp and Acer GridVista technologies have been incorporated into this notebook for more reliable wireless connectivity as well as optimised and feature-driven display management.
The notebook supports PCI Express bus architecture and external IEEE 1394 bus-powered DVD-Dual double layer optical drive that is capable of burning CDs and DVDs. The TravelMate 3000 offers easy-to-use system utilities, including the Acer eRecovery, which lets you restore operating system or back up files ensuring that you do not lose valuable data.

Rajendran, general manager, sales and marketing, consumer products group, Acer India, said: "Acer has always been at the forefront in supporting the latest technologies that enhance customer experience.
