Reliance launches limited mobility WLL service

MUMBAI -- Reliance Infocomm kicked off its much-awaited launch of limited mobile WLL by offering the country's cheapest mobile service. It will launch its WLL services in 673 cities across the country within the next two months. Besides offering the cheapest rates, it will provide free SMS, Internet and voice-mail for three years to all its subscribers.

The company announced a tariff of 40 paise per minute, with a 15-second pulse rate. All incoming calls will be free. It will also offer 40 percent discount on all STD calls.

The mobile services will be available to customers through a 11,000-strong network of retail outlets across the country. Reliance will offer free handsets and allow mobile handsets to be exchanged as well.
