Contec Innovations
showcases mobile application server
HONGKONG
-- Mobile operators are under pressure to adopt new
data services in the face of sinking voice revenues.
To address the demanding needs of the operators, Contec
Innovations has developed HornetTM. The product significantly
reduces the complexity of integrating multiple mobile
data services on one platform.
Hornet's
advanced, open architecture allows for secure testing
and reduced time-to-market of virtually any consumer
or business application to mobile phones, PDAs, and
other wireless devices. It addresses every stage of
the application lifecycle: application development,
testing and certification, service creation, provisioning,
delivery, billing, usage measurement and operation and
maintenance.
Hornet
opens wireless network to broad software developer community,
and provides a platform for rapid development, integration
and deployment of new mobile data services. It offers
extensive APIs (application programming interfaces)
to safely and securely interface with an operator's
billing and provisioning systems and network operating
center.
Hornet's clustered design indicates that simply adding
additional nodes can quickly increase system capacity.
With built-in features, such as automatic load balancing
and overload monitoring, Hornet configuration can support
millions of subscribers simultaneously.
It
is compatible with all 2.5G and 3G network technologies
and standards. In addition, it is device agnostic, capable
of deploying applications via protocols including SMS,
WAP, HTML, and i-Mode.
