Redwood's DNX-1100 gains approval from Deutsche Telekom
HONGKONG
-- Redwood's latest DNX-1100 intelligent switch has
now been approved for interconnection with Deutsche
Telekom network for indirect access (1xxx) services,
prepaid calling card and freephone services.
The
new Deutsche Telekom approval for ETSI-ISUP, in conjunction
with Redwood's existing BT NIF approval, will enable
Redwood's international customers to gain provisional
authorisation for connection to most networks where
specific approvals have not yet been taken.
The
approval for connection will benefit OLOs (other licensed
operators) requiring direct interconnection to Deutsche
Telekom network using signaling system # 7 (SS7/C7).
In gaining this approval, Redwood joins a select group
of manufacturers that have managed to pass the stringent
requirements of Deutsche Telekom's testing.
The
product is scalable from ten to thousands of ports in
a single footprint. The applications for Redwood's DNX-1100
intelligent switch include mass calling, televoting,
Internet telephony, audio conferencing, prepaid calling
card and unified messaging.
