Xserve takes DayBegins to global markets
BANGALORE
-- Xserve India Pvt. Ltd., the service, marketing and
sales arm of US $3.0 billion Wistron Group recently
signed a strategic partnership agreement with Bangalore
based DayBegins Engineering Innovations Pvt. Ltd., to
market a unique "all-in-one" Internet gateway
iAppliance. Wistron Group was previously known as the
design and manufacturing division of Acer Group in Taiwan.
Under
this agreement, DayBegins, a leading Indian software
company, specialising in network security and secure
connectivity solutions, will supply its advanced Internet
appliance software to AnexTEK for integration with its
server hardware platforms and market them under "AnexGate"
brand in India and globally. AnexTek is launching AnexGATE
iAppliance series of products at one of the world’s
biggest computer show -- COMPUTEX’03 in Taipei.
Xserve will exclusively market these products in Asia
Pacific, through its offices in Shanghai, Beijing and
India.
The
AnexGATE appliance consists of firewall, VPN, in-built
proxy, content filter and caching, email, DNS, DHCP,
intrusion detection system and optional gateway anti-virus.
This AnexGATE family of iAppliances is targeted toward
small and medium businesses, educational institutions
and government organisations to leverage the power of
Internet. AnexGATE iAppliance ensures faster Web access;
meets an organisation’s critical Internet security
needs, enhances employee productivity and provides inter
branch or mobile user connectivity using the VPN. AnexGATE
iAppliance saves costs due to reduced bandwidth consumption
and license savings for applications like built-in email
server.
