Huawei,
ClearTalk launch cdma/2000 1x network
UNITED
STATES -- Huawei Technologies and FutureWei, the North
American subsidiary of Huawei, recently announced that
NTCH Inc. commercially launched Huawei's next-gen cdma
1x system in California and Arizona, operating under
its ClearTalk, wireless made simple brand name. This
launch represents Huawei's first commercial deployment
in the US, following the successful CDMA deployments
in nearly 40 countries worldwide.
The system consists of a complete Airbridge cdma2000
wireless network including mobile switching center,
base station controller, base transceiver station, home
location register, packet data serving node and terminals.
SMS, MMS and 1x data services will also be supported.
Glenn
Ishihara, president, NTCH, said: "We are very impressed
with the quality and cost-effectiveness of the Huawei
system, as well as the speed with which they are able
to deploy it. Huawei is strong in CDMA, and we are delighted
to be the first carrier to work with its subsidiary
in the US market."
