HCL Infosystems to promote ILOG's services


NEW DELHI -- ILOG and HCL Infosystems Ltd. have announced a strategic alliance to promote ILOG's enterprise-class software components and services in India. ILOG is a leader in software components and this is its first such venture in the market.

With this alliance, HCL will promote ILOG technologies through joint marketing initiatives and set up a demonstration centre for ILOG in India. This center will allow potential customers to evaluate ILOG technologies focused on areas including production planning and control; plant scheduling, line balancing and line sequencing; manpower planning and scheduling; resource management; and traffic network planning, among others.

The joint marketing initiatives envisaged by HCL and ILOG include hosting an 'ILOG Day' where potential customers can evaluate ILOG technologies, and cultivating a pool of ILOG champions, which are HCL staff specially trained by ILOG on the company's suite of products. In addition to training ILOG champions, ILOG will also provide its products, resources and expertise to the venture.
