Game vendors,
carriers show hands for N-Gage
SYDNEY
-- Following the launch of the N-Gage mobile gaming
deck, a host of carriers and game developers have fallen
in line to show support for the new device.
Activision
Inc. plans to support the N-Gage platform. It also confirmed
that it expects to work closely with Nokia on developing
games that will support the platform at the launch.
Similarly, Eidos Interactive confirmed that it would
publish games for N-Gage. Nokia and Eidos are working
together to bring Eidos' exciting content to the Nokia
N-Gage. Taito Corp. has also confirmed that it will
provide rich game content for the Nokia N-Gage mobile
game deck. Taking advantage of the exceptional features
of the N-Gage, the first Taito titles will include Puzzle
Bobble VS, a fighting action multiplayer puzzle game,
and Taito Memories, the four most popular Taito game
titles in one package.
On
the other side, THQ Wireless will work with Nokia to
provide games for N-Gage. Under the terms of the agreement,
three of THQ Wireless' leading games titles - MotoGP,
MLBPA Players Choice Baseball (working title) and Red
Faction will be available. T-Mobile International and
Nokia have also agreed to co-develop innovative mobile
services globally for the N-Gage game deck. As part
of this partnership, Nokia and T-Mobile are working
to create high quality games and integrated games services
available globally for N-Gage consumers via T-Mobiles
network. T-Mobile will develop and offer this platform
in the future to other operators in the industry.
