Nigeria picks up Subex's INcharge
BANGALORE
-- Subex Systems, the global telecom software product
company, recently announced that Vmobile Nigeria picked
up its revenue assurance solution, INcharge. INcharge
is part of the RevMax suite from Subex that consists
of fraud management system, ranger. The order said to
be nearly a million US dollars.
Vmobile,
formerly Econet Wireless Nigeria Ltd., is the contending
number one GSM network in the burgeoning Nigerian telecom
market, with over two million subscribers and coverage
in 60 cities and over 2,500 communities. INcharge is
an end-to-end revenue assurance solution that interfaces
with a variety of support systems and network elements
to enable usage information, track discrepancies and
identify potential revenue leakages across the entire
OSS chain of a telecom operator.
RevMax,
the revenue maximisation suite to which INcharge belongs,
maximises revenue and profits through, assuring earned
revenue, enhancement of revenue and cost optimisation.
The suite offers an integrated platform for revenue
maximisation solutions that eliminates the need to invest
piecemeal in point solutions.
The
benefits of an integrated architecture are strategic
and operational. Strategically, a single-platform optimising
the IT infrastructure costs significantly lesser and
such integration drives informed, holistic business
decisions and course corrections. The operational benefits
include streamlined, standards driven end-to-end revenue
maximisation workflow across the organisation.
Global
telecom studies revealed that telecom operators lose
close to 10 percent in revenue leakage with fraud being
one of the key reasons. According to estimates, currently,
only about 27 percent of operators use any revenue maximisation
solution.
Subash
Menon, president and CEO, Subex, said: "This win
is an indication of the excellent customer support we
have provided on Ranger. Our strategy has always been
to leverage our existing client base for our other products.
We are pleased that our strategy is bearing fruits in
case of INcharge. Vmobile is one of the earliest clients
of Subex's ranger fraud management system."
Willem
Swart, CEO, Vmobile, added: "We already have Subex's
Ranger FMS installed in our network. It was natural
for us to turn to Subex first, when we were looking
for a revenue assurance product, given the very good
support it provided to us in the past."
