Intransa
enters into strategic relationship with HCL
BANGALORE
-- Intransa Inc. recently entered into a global strategic
relationship with HCL Peripherals, a unit of HCL Infosystems
Ltd. Under this relationship, HCL Peripherals will provide
system integration services for Intransa's IP-SAN solutions
globally.
Intransa
leads the IP-SAN market by delivering the industry's
most comprehensive suite of IP-SAN solutions to meet
the needs of small, mid-tier and enterprise-class customers.
The Intransa suite of sophisticated IP-SAN products
-- IP3000, IP5000, IP7500, enable customers to add storage
capacity from two to over 60 terabytes, and allow them
to consolidate e-mail applications, databases, back-up
and restore applications and other mission-critical
data management applications. HCL Technologies will
initially implement Intransa's modular IP-SAN solution
across four key locations for storage consolidation
and centralised data management to bring down TCO on
data storage infrastructure.
Udi
Paret, vice president, global operations, Intransa,
said: "We are extremely excited about the relationship
with HCL group and intend to leverage it to expand the
footprint for our IP-SAN solutions across different
geographies, market verticals and customer segments."
Shyamal
Bhattacharya, vice president, global IT services, HCL
Technologies, added: "For our complex and rapidly
expanding storage environment, we reviewed various storage
technologies and found Intransa's IP-SAN most suitable
for easy data management, storage consolidation and
scalability. We also found that the Intransa solution,
based on TCP/IP technology, offered the lowest TCO."
