GN Netcom intros remote handset lifter
HONG KONG -- GN Netcom has introduced the GN 1000, a
2G remote handset lifter for wireless telephony products.
It uses innovative technology in ring detection, developed
in conjunction with sister company GN ReSound, and drive
motors to enable users to reliably answer and end calls
while away from their desks.
The
GN 1000's ring detector detects the magnetic field created
by speakers using a "T coil" and does not
react to ambient noise. It alerts the user to an incoming
call only when it senses the magnetic field produced
by a ringing speaker. Its mechanical workings leverage
state-of-the-art technology from precision electronics
like DVD players for quiet, reliable operation.
