GrapeCity India's software bags international
award for pocket PC
NEW
DELHI -- Talking Phrasebooks by GrapeCity India recently
bagged the prestigious US Handango Champion Award for
Best Industry Application for the Pocket PC for 2005.
The software is designed for those on the move - business
travelers, tourists, and students who constantly go
to countries where the native language is not English.
Talking Phrasebooks is a mobile application that can
be downloaded onto a PDA. It contains over 2,000 essential
phrases and terms in both English and the native language
(French, German, Italian and Spanish) when all optional
add-on modules are installed. It displays phrases in
English or the native language by topic or alphabetically.
It
also finds all entries in either language that contain
the words or characters you're searching for, and instantly
shows the translation of any chosen English phrase in
the native language or vice versa. One click and you
can hear the translation out loud in a clear native
voice. It also repeats the pronunciation automatically
according to your preferences, to aid practice and memorisation.
