RFS'sRAYU
to support multiple communication systems
GERMANY
-- Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), aglobal designer and
manufacturer of cable and antenna systems plus active
andpassive RF conditioning modules, recently launched
its RAYU158-50JAT coaxialcable, with uniquely low longitudinal
attenuation, coupling loss and resultingin low overall
system loss.
Thisis the latest addition to RFS's popular RADIAFLEX
'A' range of foam-dielectricradiating cable. Ideal for
use in tunnels and metros, the RAYU158-50JATradiating
cable is optimised for operation in two important bands:
800 to1000MHz and 1700 to 2200MHz.
Thecable offers superior electrical performance, together
with good bendingproperties, and can support multiple
communication systems simultaneously. It isalso available
with a flame and fire retardant jacket (RAYU158-50JFNAT),
or aflame/fire retardant and low smoke jacket (RAYU158-50JFLAT),
to meet theapplicable international electrotechnical
commission (IEC)standards.
Stefan Lehman, area product manager, wireless distributed
communication systems, RFS, said: "RFS has achieved
optimal performance forthese popular and comprehensive
bands by shifting the RAYU158-50JAT cable'sstopband
into the 1000 to 1650MHz range. Stopbands are inherent
physicalproperties of radiating cable. By careful modeling
and simulation, we haveprecision-tuned the RAYU158-50JAT
cable so that the stopband is where we wantit-out of
the way."
