AudioCodes announces media gateway
for VoIP, VoATM apps
UNITED
STATES -- AudioCodes Ltd. recently announced the availability
of its TrunkPack (TP)-6300 VoP Module (TPM-6300). This
high-density, double-sized, PMC media-gateway-on-a-module
offers developers of voice-over-ATM (VoATM) and VoIP
applications a highly integrated media gateway building
block.
The
TPM-6300 is the latest product in AudioCodes’ TPM
family. Based on VoIPerfect architecture, AudioCodes’
underlying, best-of-breed, core technology, it supports
512 to 2,016 low bit-rate or up to 4,032 uncompressed
(G.711 PCM) ports. The TPM-6300 provides an ideal building
block for OEMs; it builds carrier-grade communication
equipment, using a proprietary form factor. In conjunction
with AudioCodes’ feature-rich software, which encompasses
voice, fax, conferencing, and optional packet cable
security (AES), the TPM-6300 serves as a mediator between
IP and ATM backbones.
