Alcatel appoints Sharma as VP, India
NEW
DELHI -- Alcatel recently appointed Ravi Sharma as vice
president for the Indian subcontinent. This will be
in addition to Sharma's current responsibilities as
managing director and country senior officer for Alcatel
in India and Nepal. With this appointment, Sharma has
been given full charge of Alcatel's operations in India,
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Sharma
joined Alcatel in January 2003. Before taking over as
managing director and CSO for Alcatel India, he was
regional director, Asia, for the London-based satellite
operator Europe* Star. Sharma brings with him a wealth
of experience from companies such as British Telecom,
the UB Group, and Europe*Star.
