ND SatCom partners with innovaphone for VoIP satcom solutions

GERMANY -- ND SatCom recently joined forces with innovaphone, a leading specialist in IP-telephony solutions, to cater customised solutions for the emerging VoIP market. The new feature set is applicable for SkyWAN, a highly-flexible and versatile VSAT system, and SkyARCS, a VSAT star network solution to deliver VoIP quality of service to each network terminal.

SkyWAN, a flexible and versatile MF-TDMA VSAT system, establishes a wide area corporate network infrastructure including IP router and FR switch functionality. Standard user interfaces such as Ethernet and Frame Relay, voice/fax, serial synchronous and asynchronous connections are available and ready for applications based on these standards providing a unified network infrastructure. The solution supports IP applications such as Web access and IP video. Hence, the complete variety of end user business communication applications is supported in an unmatched way.

ND SatCom's VSAT star network, SkyARCS, is a high performance satellite IP network solution, and is compliant with ETSI/DVB standard DVB-RCS. Due to its ability to support each terminal with up to 2Mbps bursts in the return link, it is ideally suited for school applications with a high demand for information exchange of any kind.
