Veraz records strong worldwide VoIP
sales in 2004
UNITED
STATES -- Veraz Networks recently announced that its
VoIP solutions have been deployed in 30 countries, representing
complex network environments and newly deregulated markets.
The company's VoIP solutions are carrying over one billion
minutes of traffic per month. Service Providers in newly
deregulated markets such as India, Turkey, Bulgaria,
and Russia require a stable solution that works with
their IP environment, including the demands of handling
satellite, wireless and international traffic. Even
with mobile originated traffic carried over satellite
links, Veraz's voice quality and stability stand out
under the most rigorous conditions, due to best-in-class
handling of latency, jitter and packet loss.
For
complex networks, Veraz's softswitch and service delivery
platform provide a full-featured Class-4 switch replacement
solution for any TDM vendor switch. Its robust VoIP
solution displaced TDM switches from incumbent vendors,
as its stability, scalability and programmability stand
out in complex environments. Meeting the needs of carriers
having complex networks and formidable transmission
environments led Veraz to gain top-tier carrier customers
in the US, Europe, Asia, Middle East and CALA.
Doug
Sabella, president and CEO, Veraz, said: "Whenever
we compete with other vendors in rigorous, real-world
testing, the Veraz solution comes out a winner. We outperform
competitors in more complex networks and our true softswitch
architecture provides maximum flexibility for our customers
to react in increasingly competitive markets. This,
coupled with a strong services orientation, allowed
us to flawlessly replace incumbents such as Nortel,
Siemens, Alcatel and Cisco."
