TTSL selects Tekelec's EAGLE 5 system
NEW DELHI -- Tata Teleservices Ltd. (TTSL) has recently
purchased an EAGLE 5 Signaling Application System (SAS)
from Tekelec. The multipair EAGLE system will provide
the signaling infrastructure to enable advanced telecommunication
services for TTSL's high-speed, broadband network. Tekelec
will provide network implementation expertise and consulting
services as well as installation, training, and maintenance
support.
The
EAGLE 5 SAS is a high capacity, multiprotocol advanced
signaling platform. It hosts a variety of applications,
including SS7 signal transfer, number portability, signaling
gateway, integrated services and data mining. The system
supports the Sigtran suite of signaling protocols for
next-generation network connectivity, creating a clear
path forward to packet telephony and 3G networks.
TTSL
is positioning itself as a single source for telecommunications
needs, including wireline, wireless, and data services.
It is rolling out a high-capacity cdma2000 network,
which will be expanded over the next three years to
cover the entire geography of the circles of operation
to deliver faster connectivity and access to advanced
media-rich services for its subscribers.
