HCL's professional services unit achieves SEI Level
5
NEW DELHI -- HCL Infosystems has recently achieved
level 5 of the US-based Software Engineering Institute's
(SEI) capability maturity model (CMM) for its professional
services unit (PSU) at Noida.
The
PSU is a software development and delivery unit of
HCL Infosystems. Services offered include application
development and maintenance, information strategic
planning, e-business, software migration and maintenance.
The unit has executed several projects for customers
in the USA, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia
and India, and offers services on various technology
platforms such as IBM, Microsoft, BEA, Oracle, iLog,
FileNet, etc.
SEI
evaluates software processes for development, re-engineering
and maintenance across enterprises and assesses those
at levels 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. Organisations
at level 5 are recognised as highly mature and at
a stage when they are optimising processes, and consistently
using measurement and analysis for improvement. Only
110 organisations hold this certification worldwide.
