Scopus to upgrade MTV's digital broadcast
platforms
ISRAEL -- Scopus Network Technologies was recently selected
by MTV Networks Asia's to upgrade its digital broadcast
capabilities in the Asia Pacific region. The regional
broadcaster, based in Singapore, will be utilising Scopus'
digital broadcast platforms to further improve quality
content distribution through its various satellite uplinks
to China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand,
the Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.
MTV
will use Scopus' CODICO RTM-3800 (advanced statistical
multiplexers) and E-1200 TriplePass encoding mechanisms
(high-end encoders) as its digital delivery platform
to provide superb picture quality. It will also integrate
the new system with the Philips' CryptoWorks CAS for
the transmission security of its broadcasts.
