LG launches Centrino range of notebook
PCs
NEW
DELHI -- LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) recently
launched its Centrino range of notebook PCs with world's
longest battery life, in the Indian market. The models
launched include the LM40, LM50, LS50 and LS40. This
offering is the newest addition to LG's wide range of
products in the IT segment.
The
notebook series comes with LG's proprietary 'battery
maximizing technology' that allows the notebook up to
10 hours of battery life from a single charge cycle.
With a 200 nit LCD that is 33 percent brighter and a
viewing angle that is wider than conventional notebooks,
the series provides higher quality pictures from any
angle without any reduction in brightness. The system
is equipped with an integrated Intel Pentium M processor,
the latest Intel 855 PM/GM chipset and an Intel Pro/Wireless
LAN card. Other features include wireless access capability
with Quad Band, DVD combo drive, one click for all network
settings, silent cooling mechanism and a cool and stylish
design.
Moreover,
the LM series include some additional features like
My Personality, style indicators -- devices that renders
the wireless networking function visually; SD card slot
and home theater features like SPDIF, S-video out port,
IEEE 1394, etc.

The
notebook series is also one of the slimmest and lightest
in its category with weight ranging from 2.2kg to 2.7kg
with a storage capacity of 40G to 60GB. It comes loaded
with Windows XP Pro. The series is priced between the
range of Rs 99,000 to Rs. 1,40,000.
