Powerware intros extended battery
back-up models
NEW
DELHI -- Powerware India recently introduced the latest
offering in its Series 5 of uninterruptible power systems
(UPSs), the cost-effective PW 5150 Eb (extended battery
backup). The extended battery models have the provision
to offer up to two hours of backup.
Designed
to protect small workstations and SME equipment, including
PCs, Web servers and electrical equipment, the Powerware
5150 protects and eliminates the effects of the top
five most common power disturbances found in many work
environments. It is available in three power ratings
ranging from 500VA, 700VA to 1KVA.
The
cost-effective Powerware 5150 features fourth-generation
line interactive topology, which ensures continuous,
clean power. Its advanced electronic voltage controller
(EVC) corrects the input voltage fluctuations. A wide
input voltage range caters to extreme power conditions.
It comes with convenient user replaceable batteries
to avoid visiting service centres for replacing those.
The network transient protector protects the equipment
from "back door" transients. It comes with
a high-rated charger with a battery module that extends
the battery time upto two hours.
The
extended battery backup models are available all over
India through Powerware's regional distributors and
channel partners. Powerware is offering a two-year warranty
on the UPS and a one-year warranty on batteries. A comprehensive
after-sales support network further supports it all
over India, besides a Web-based service support module.
Deepak
Sharma, managing director, Powerware India, said: "These
new models of UPS have been designed in response to
the interminably long power outages experienced in large
parts of the country. The prevailing power conditions
necessitate the introduction of extended backup UPS.
We foresee the SME segment to benefit most from these
products. Extended battery backup models, if deployed,
would increase overall productivity and customer satisfaction.
