GITEX 2006 is back with a bang!

DUBAI -- GITEX 2006, the region's largest and most comprehensive showcase of IT (hardware, software, network), office automation, consumer electronics and communications products, will be held from 18 to 22 November 2006 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exciting products and services due to be launched at the event are promising to be the very best in the industry.

The Microsoft stand is bound to be a popular destination at this year's GITEX with the vendor showcasing a slew of new products - especially for attendees of a romantic disposition what with the Launch of Office, Vista and Exhange campaign in the region, or the 'LOVE' launch as it is known. Not only will show visitors have the opportunity to talk to Microsoft and its partners, they will also have the chance to discover more about the functionality and benefits of Microsoft's latest solution.

3Com is preparing to unveil the next stage of its solutions roadmap at GITEX, as well as engaging in brand-building and partner support. The vendor will be showcasing a range of solutions at the show and making significant announcements about the next stage of its solutions roadmap.

The key focus for GITEX this time will be around 'voice ready networks', unified wired and wireless switching' and secured converged networking, according to 3Com.

IT behemoth HP is putting total customer experience at the top of its agenda for this year's GITEX. Offering a vast range of IT products and solutions, HP will once again focus on the unique needs of all customers - from the largest enterprises through to individual consumers.

For the telecoms sector, the key message from HP is all about the convergence of voice, data and video and the impact of mobility solutions as well.

IT infrastructure vendor APC will also be featuring its new range of cooling solutions and Netbotz IP-based monitoring solutions at GITEX this year. The UPS giant will also launch a new portfolio of InfrastruXure air conditioning products for data centers, as well as showing off its existing Netbotz security offering to show visitors.

Brother Gulf, a subsidiary of Brother Group Japan, intends to catapult its new line of MFDs (multifunction devices) and labeling solutions into the limelight. In addition to the new launches, products from its portfolio such as laser printers, fax machines and digital copier printers will also be showcased.

Fujitsu Siemens' Lifebook Q Series will play a prominent role for customers that want lightweight notebook products that offer always-on connectivity.

Mobile device security specialist Pointsec will be demonstrating strong security solution that is quick to deploy and economical to operate, across removable media such as phones or laptops, as well as on the desktop to protect data once the lifecycle of the hardware is complete.

Consumer electronics and IT giant LG is preparing to hit this year's GITEX with a sparkling collection of IT, mobile and telecommunications, digital display and media products, as well as its range of digital appliances. In the IT division; the latest notebooks, including the DMB notebook, the P1, T1, S1, and a new tablet PC will be on display, while the latest in the company's Blu-ray enabled range of super multi DVD, DVD writers and players will also feature prominently. Visitors can also expect to see wall-mounted projectors, HD projectors, the latest mobile phones including the DMB phone, 3G phones, the latest Chocolate phone, and also cutting-edge gaming phones.

3M Telecommunications has been a major force in the telecoms industry for 35 years and supplies every major telecoms provider worldwide. One of the biggest exhibitors at GITEX 2006, Taiwan is renowned for its solid production and design capabilities in providing quality high-tech products. Top speakers from the top three information and communications technology industry leaders: Acer, BenQ and D-Link will speak at the Taiwan ICT Industrial Forum, to be held on 19 November. Topics will include the latest digital lifestyle products and future trends in digital home.

GITEX 2006 will once again live up to its international reputation as one of the leading exhibitions in the IT & communications industry, as it will be playing host to over 3,000 participating companies from more than 60 countries announced organiser Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The 26th edition of the premier trade event, collocated with the new Telecoms exhibition, GULFCOMMS, promises to reflect the latest advancements in the ICT industry including revolutionary products and innovations that will take the world by storm as well as developments in global technology markets.
