Backup equipment critical for network health
NEW
DELHI -- With power cuts and current fluctuations threatening
computer networks and damage huge investments, backup
equipment has become critical to the network's health.

UPStation
GXT-AV UPS range has full digital control that is 20
times faster. It uses DSP technology that gives high
reliability and improved uptime to networks and a running
cost improvement factor of 20 percent. "It is the
right UPS for Indian power conditions because of the
wide range of input voltage from 120V to 276V and frequency
range from 45Hz to 55Hz" Bapat points out.
Other
features include auto regulation of end cell battery
voltage that helps protect SMF batteries from deep discharge
and improves battery life. The UPS could be monitored
from a remote location as well. The built-in battery
backup enables the use of the equipment anywhere across
the country. The free software that facilitates remote
control and monitoring, using your PC, means it's value
for money.
The
UPS available in 1, 2 and 3 KVA ranges, is suitable
for small and medium enterprises, corporates, VSATs
and ATMs. Emerson has over 50 business partners providing
sales and service covering 92 per cent of the market.
In addition there are 20 regional distributors and 800
vendor arrangements. All this is gong to be enhanced
further, Emerson officials claimed.
