BSNL has been using the post office to send its customer
bills but this often leads to missed bills and problems
at customer end. Now that the country’s largest
carrier for domestic local and long distance telephone
and wireless services is revamping its customer relationship
services, it wants to use a reliable and fast acting
bills distribution system. The intending vendor could
set it up in one city or region as he thinks best suited
to him.
Mr. Singh himself disclosed this on the sidelines of
the Convergence Plus organized conference on Billing
and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) that he inaugurated
here today. The Government owned telco has already arranged
for online payment system and online receipt of bills.
But this could touch only a small section of its 36
million subscribers.
