ZTE
launches smallest 3G handset
CHINA
-- ZTE Corp. recently launched the world's smallest,
lightest, and most compact 3G handset. Announced at
Expo Comm China exhibition held in Beijing, ZTE's F808
weighs only 104grams, and measures 88.5x44.6x22.5mm.
Its features include voice, MMS and a built-in rotatable
300,000 pixel camera. It can also provide video phone
capability, multimedia play and high-speed data download.
ZTE's
mobile pedigree includes a capability to provide a total
wireless solution, incorporating CDMA, GSM and PHS.
In CDMA alone, ZTE has supplied over 20 countries with
12 million lines throughout the world.

Lirong, senior vice president, ZTE, said: "ZTE

to handsets. We sold over 12 million handsets this year,
and we are confident that this success will continue

ZTE
plans ongoing developments of the phone, which is being
designed for Chinese and international markets. Today's
world breakthrough is the latest mobile technology success
for ZTE, whose handset sales grew from 4.6 million last
year to over 12 million this year. ZTE achieved the
first detachable CDMA handset in the world and the first
Chinese dual-band GSM handset in China.
