Optimizer qualifies with Telefónica Móviles
for 2004
SPAIN
-- Telefónica Móviles España, Spain's
leading cellular telephony operator, recently selected
cellular antennas from Radio Frequency Systems (RFS),
the wireless technology group. These will play a major
role in the operator's 2004 3G-deployment program.
The RFS antenna selection will support Móviles
in its ongoing program of enhancing its GSM 900MHz and
GSM 1800MHz services, and in the deployment of Spain's
first new high-speed 3G data transmission service --
Oficin@Movistar UMTS, which was launched in February
this year.
Enric Lara, director general, RFS Spain, said: "We
are delighted once again to achieve qualification with
Móviles and to play a significant part in its
ongoing network development. It is an honour to see
members of the RFS Optimizer family selected to play
a role in Móviles' 3G program."
The RFS Optimizer series is a suite of high-performance
cellular antennas featuring upper side lobe suppression
typically better than 20dB across the entire frequency
range, significantly increased gain and superior front-to-back
ratio. Optimizer antennas incorporate null fill, and
are available in a broad selection of fixed electrical
and variable electrical tilts, plus a wide range of
beam apertures.
