Myriad of key technologies and techzones @
CommunicAsia 2011
 

CommunicAsia 2011, the 22nd International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference had a grand opening on 21 June 2011 at Marina Bay Sands. Held in conjunction with Enterprise IT 2011, the 8th International Information Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Enterprises and BroadcastAsia 2011, the 16th International Digital Multimedia & Entertainment Technology Exhibition and Conference, the show serves as a truly comprehensive platform for the ICT industry.

CommunicAsia, at three levels of the exhibition centre, featured a myriad of key and emerging technologies from backhaul network, systems integration to software and applications. The technologies showcased included, 3.5G / LTE / 4G, Broadband, Carrier Services, Cloud Computing, eGovernment, Enterprise Applications, Enterprise Mobility, Infrastructure & Network Solutions, IPTV, Mobile, Applications & Entertainment, RF and Cables, Satellite Communications, Security, Smartphones, Telepresence/Video Conferencing, Test & Measurement, WiMAX, Wireless Technologies and many others.

5 special techzones were featured in the exhibition halls:

  1. 'Fibre' for NextGen Services

    The need for faster connectivity is in demand and FTTx is the answer. The techzone showcased the latest fibre optics equipment and communications that will help facilitate access to next generation services
  2. Cloud Computing

    Cloud computing is steadily becoming an integral part of the IT services market. The latest in cloud computing services, infrastructures and cloud based services/applications were showcased through this techzone.
  3. NextGen Services & Applications

    NextGen applications from cloud services, immersive learning, IPTV, location based services, M2M, managed services, telecommuting, telemedicine, telepresence, to proximity m-commerce services were featured in this special techzone.
  4. OEM / ODM in Action

    OEM/ODMs can act as service trusted partners to take care of the entire projects/product life cycle management from design, development, customisation, production to after sales service.
  5. Sustainable ICT

    A glimpse on how new and innovative technologies can be deployed to optimise every aspect of business processes in all industries to build a low carbon economy Country pavilions had representations from Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Korea, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Malaysia, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA.
Highly acclaimed as the one-stop knowledge platform for the Broadcasting industry, BroadcastAsia2011 witnessed a plethora of the latest innovations, revolutionary technologies in 3D, Animation and VFX, Broadcast Infrastructure / Facilities, Broadcast Networking and Security, Digital Media Asset Management, HD / Digital TV / IPTV / HBBTV (Hybrid Broadcasting Broadband TV), Mobile Broadcasting, Motion / Film Production and Graphics, Playout Services, Pro Audio (Editing / Mastering / Mixers / Post Production / Production), Radio (Automation, Master Control, Production) Satellite/Transmitter, Workflow Solutions, to name a few.

India at CommunicAsia 2011

Around 60 Indian companies were represented at CommunicAsia and over 20 companies in BroadcastAsia. The India pavilion was organized by Telecom Equipment Manufacturers and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) with 10 companies as part of the pavilion.
