1. What kind of security challenges are being faced while establishing business?

The first challenge is of theft of assets and loss of funds that was used for the business. The second important challenge is of unauthorized access by internal as well as external users either for taking advantage or for destruction purpose. Then there is the challenge to maintain the Goodwill and market image of the organization. Moreover, the challenges like malware infection, security w.r.t organizations websites, database, its information (hard or soft), people, and network are also there. In addition, awareness of the users for the emerging security threats and getting the ROI are some of the other challenges that are generally faced.

2. How to overcome the same

The best possible way to overcome all the threats is the user training, awareness, alertness, ensuring the physical and logical security by implementing various measures like access control, visitor management, and taking preventive measure for all kind of suspected threats. Also surprise audit should be conducted to measure the effectiveness of the security measures taken.

3. What endeavours are required to make people aware about business integration of different domain space of security and their adaptability on the Indian grounds?

The endeavours that are required to make people aware about business integration in space of security is by training programs, drills , making them understand the cross effect of the negligence and also awaking users about the disciplinary actions for any negligence.

4. How information security interfaces help in eradicating the risk of corporate hacking, IP thefts, firewall breaches and employee cracks?

Information security interfaces help by maintaining classification levels for the information sharing along with the authorization, permissions, authentication, and sharing the information only on need to use basis. For IP theft sufficient measures must be ensured like mac binding and filtering, monitoring, usage tracking etc. In order to prevent firewall breaches firewall logs must be maintained and analyzed, ensured monitoring of the events and correlating them for further risks management. For employees cracks permissions should be given with limited authorization, and must be monitored regularly along with certain training programs for the same.

5. What practices and initiatives are being followed by Appin? What are the future plans of the company in terms of expansion and growth?

We at Appin follow: depth wise security classification of information. Our Physical Security is ensured by using measures like biometric access controls, CCTV monitoring and visitor management. Moreover, we have 4 layer logical access control and information classification by usage of in-house developed appliances.
