Unified Communications joins hands with IBS

HONG KONG -- Unified Communications Ltd (UCL) has signed a strategic contract with Hong-Kong based mobile data services provider IBS Ltd. According to the contract, IBS will implement its Communiporte message broadcast system in Hong Kong while UCL will use IBS's mobile data platform for SMS delivery.

The Communiporte is a unique message gateway system offering a single interface for voice, fax, email and SMS. It simplifies the message mechanism for any user or system that needs to send a mixture of message types, but does not want to deal with different gateway products or interfaces. It offers features such as message fail-over to an alternative message type, full message logging, billing, and anti-spam and fraud protection. IBS's solution caters for double-byte character technical requirements of Asian languages as well.
