Seagate announces three new partner programs in India
NEW
DELHI -- Seagate Technology, the world's leading provider
of hard disk drives and a major supplier of storage
products to the Indian market, has announced three new
partner programs in India.
The
first program is the setting up of the Seagate SCSI
partners who will specialize in promoting Seagate ESG
products to reseller channel and large corporates. The
structure would be similar to the Seagate Import Partners.
The Seagate Enterprise Partners program is targeted
at organizations specializing in designing and implementing
storage networks and solutions for corporates in the
private and government sectors. Seagate Enterprise Partners
will develop customized solutions for clients based
on Seagate's technology and products.
To
promote a solutions approach for SMEs and SOHO/home
segments, Seagate will appoint Seagate Integrator Partners
for system builder and integrator community to integrate
Seagate products in their PC/server and sell HDD as
part of the solution.
Seagate
will also support its extended distributor network through
technical training -- enabling them to qualify their
engineers for the Seagate Certified Engineer Program.
Seagate will support these partners through Seagate
consultants who will provide marketing and business
support.
Announcing
these partners programs, Sharad Srivastava, country
manager, Seagate India, said: " We felt the need
for introducing new partner programs to understand end
customers needs better and providing the right kind
of tools to partners to service their customers better.
The new partners will support our existing distributors
and channel partners network."
Seagate
also launched the Seagate warranty support "Swap
Center" to better meet the needs of its large and
growing customer base in India. The center will offer
warranty exchange to existing services provided by Seagate
distributors in India. The company recently launched
the Seagate Rewards Program as well for its Import Partners
and Storage Partners in India.
