Alcatel launches GSM phones for m-generation

INDIA -- Alcatel has launched the new range of One Touch GSM handsets -- the 311, 511 and 512 -- in India.

These sleek, dynamic handsets are designed for the mobile generation. The 311 features One Touch messaging, speakerphone, vibrator, customizing options and a host of comfort enhancing extras. It has a metallic finish and a rounded shape, an antenna patch and changeable front panels.

The 511 has a compact 'techno' design, weighing 75g only. It supports EMS and features polyphonic tones and recordable melodies. Some other features include voice recognition, voice memo and games. The 512 has all features of the 511 and additionally has a white-blue backlit display. Its phone directory can hold up to 250 numbers. It comes in chic metallic shades of golden sand and platinum silver.

Alcatel has also entered into a distribution agreement with Agrani Convergence Ltd for introducing all of its handset products in the Indian market. The handsets would be available at all Agrani Switch retail outlets across the country as well as all the subdistributors through the ACL's strong supply chain backbone.
