Ericsson
signs broadband access contract with B2
SWEDEN
-- B2, a Sweden-based broadband access provider, recently
selected Ericsson's Ethernet DSL access solution for
its on-going nationwide rollout of ADSL2plus-based services
in an Ethernet-based network environment. The rollout
of high-performance ADSL2plus offerings complements
B2's existing network with a powerful DSL offering.
It will enable new types of broadband services for residential
and business users.
Nils-Petter
Tetlie, COO, B2, said: "Ericsson's leadership in
Ethernet-based DSL solutions allows us to leverage our
deployed Metro Ethernet network and add high-performance
ADSL2plus capabilities. The Ethernet DSL access platform
provides us with a solution that is optimized for an
Ethernet-based architecture and has the features and
capabilities to integrate into our existing network."
Peter
Linder, technical director, Wireline Networks, Ericsson,
noted: "We are very pleased to have qualified as
a key supplier to B2 by meeting its advanced solution
requirements. With five years of experience with deployment
of Ethernet-based broadband services, B2 is a global
reference for the transition to high-performance broadband
access based on Ethernet."
